Executive Brief

First, let me say how pleased and honored I am to have been selected to be QED’s next President. My predecessor and QED founder, Don Golini, has created a remarkable company that revolutionized the precision optics industry more than a decade ago with the introduction of MRF^®. I’m afraid I have some rather large shoes to fill in this role!  I look forward to the challenge, and the opportunity to work closely with industry leaders around the world.

When I joined QED as Metrology Product Line Manager 2 years ago, I had the opportunity to talk to a number of optics manufacturers about their manufacturing challenges, and to apply what I learned to the technical development of the ASI^® (the Aspheric Stitching Interferometer).  The subsequent success of the ASI has energized QED's metrology offerings.  As President, I now look forward to carrying this momentum forward for both our metrology and finishing product lines.  I believe QED can respond to industry needs by forging strong collaborative relationships with our clients and providing innovative technology offerings across all of our product lines to meet the challenging requirements of this industry. I'm thrilled with this opportunity.

And finally, if you will be visiting the Optatec Trade Fair in Frankfurt Germany next month, please stop by our booth to learn how QED’s innovative products and services can help you grow your business. We will be showcasing our latest innovations, and displaying an ASI, and I would be pleased to give you a personal demonstration.  You might also be interested in hearing first-hand how some of our customers have taken advantage of our products in their manufacturing process, through several presentations scheduled during the week. I would also be happy to meet with you to discuss how our organizations can work more closely together in the future.
