How it Works

The SSI-A^® adds asphere metrology to the SSI’s capabilities. With its 6-axis computer controlled workstation with up to 1-meter of Z travel, the SSI-A is capable of measuring large aspheres up to more than 200mm in diameter with up to ~100 waves of departure from best-fit sphere (400 λ from base sphere).

The SSI-A can also measure convex, concave and flat parts as well as measuring high NA components with a numerical aperture up to 1 (full hemispheres!).
