SSI® Metrology systems are perhaps the single most important investment optics manufacturers can make to protect customer relationships and to obtain a strategic weapon for winning new customers. These products set a higher standard for accuracy, flexibility and lead-time. The SSI® family of interferometers will improve the quality of your optics and heighten your level of confidence.

You no longer need to be satisfied with anything less than absolute, full aperture metrology for all of your optics.

QED offers the following metrology products:

  • The SSI-A:  full-aperture metrology on parts up to and exceeding 200 mm in diameter,  including aspheres with up to 100 waves of departure

 

  • The SSI-A with extended capability package:  all the capabilities of the SSI-A with ability to measure aspheres with up to 200 waves of departure

 

  • The ASI:  full aperture metrology on parts up to and exceeding 200 mm in diameter and 1000 waves (650 microns) of departure from best fit sphere.

 

  • The MFA-400: a specialty tool, used to capture the low to mid-spatial frequency roughness critical for ultra-high precision applications. The MFA-400 is able to measure surfaces up to 400mm in diameter
